The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Our client is a successful North East manufacturer based in the Gateshead area. Due to growth, they are currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is working double days shifts of – 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm.

Main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Minimize downtime on the fully automated shot blasting and powder paint line through PPM
  • Diagnose and repair Mechanical and Electrical faults
  • React to breakdowns
  • Assist manufacturing engineers with vehicle improvements and modifications

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Time-served with multi skilled experience
  • BTEC or HNC in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience in PLC Diagnostics would be advantageous
  • IPAF Trained would be advantageous but not essential
  • FLT Certified would be advantageous but not essential

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience within a volume manufacturer
  • The ability to work to planned and agreed schedules and timescales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
