Our client is a successful North East manufacturer based in the Gateshead area. Due to growth, they are currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is working double days shifts of – 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm.
Main responsibilities of the role will include:
- Minimize downtime on the fully automated shot blasting and powder paint line through PPM
- Diagnose and repair Mechanical and Electrical faults
- React to breakdowns
- Assist manufacturing engineers with vehicle improvements and modifications
Required qualifications and experience:
- Time-served with multi skilled experience
- BTEC or HNC in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience in PLC Diagnostics would be advantageous
- IPAF Trained would be advantageous but not essential
- FLT Certified would be advantageous but not essential
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience within a volume manufacturer
- The ability to work to planned and agreed schedules and timescales
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
