A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Derbyshire operation. This is a pivotal on‑site role with responsibility for delivering accurate financial reporting, driving strong internal controls and supporting operational decision‑making across a busy, fast‑paced environment. As Management Accountant, you will oversee key daily, weekly and month‑end processes while leading and developing a small finance team. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you’ll act as a trusted partner across the site, ensuring financial integrity and enabling continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily, weekly and month‑end reporting as the site Management Accountant
- Manage general ledger, fixed assets and inventory
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and cost centre reporting
- Review and approve purchase orders and payroll checks
- Support budgeting cycles, central returns and audit activity
- Maintain robust internal controls and drive process improvements
- Collaborate with operational teams to provide clear financial insight
- Coach, support and develop members of the site finance team
About You
To succeed as Management Accountant, you’ll bring experience from a large or complex organisation, ideally within manufacturing. You will be a qualified or finalist accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA), confident in producing high‑quality reporting and comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels. You’ll have:
- Strong management accounting experience
- A firm, fair leadership style
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Strong systems knowledge, preferably SAP, plus advanced Excel capability
