Our client is a fast-growing organisation operating within a dynamic and buoyant sector. Operating from several sites throughout the UK, the company has seen significant growth and has ambitious plans to continue and build on this success. Extension Recruitment has been exclusively retained to recruit a Financial Controller to be based at the head office within the North East of England.
Reporting to the board and managing a small finance team, key responsibilities will include:
- Day to day management of the finance team of 3
- Responsibility for all financial reporting including the production of monthly and annual management accounts with explanation, year-end, and other statutory financial reporting
- Review current processes/systems and implement improvements to ensure more accurate and insightful financial information is available to senior management
- Regular communication and reporting to financial institutions, and other internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and drive implementation of a robust and sustainable accountancy system and processes
- Manage cashflow
- Hands-on input into the day to day operations of the business, adding value from a financial perspective
