They are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team on a Permanent basis at their site in Birtley.

About the role

We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk on behalf of our client. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team within a leading global manufacturer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable function.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Clerk include:
  • Process all direct and indirect invoices
  • Liaise with Purchasing to ensure timely approval of invoices
  • Manage payment runs
  • Process all intercompany invoices
  • Run daily GRNI report
  • Reconcile AP accounts at month end
  • Perform supplier reconciliations
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks as required
About You:

The Accounts Payable Clerk will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team and have excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with various departments.

Other requirements include:
  • Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
