Our client is a successful subcontract engineering business providing precision machined components across a wide range of sectors. They are currently looking to strengthen their team with the recruitment of a Technical Estimator to be based at their site in the North East.
The Role of the Technical Estimator
The Technical Estimator will play a crucial role in the company's growth by compiling accurate quotations through meticulous calculation of cycle times, material and subcontract costs, and tooling. This role requires close liaison with customers to fully understand their requirements and ensure their needs are met. Other responsibilities include:
- Compile detailed and accurate quotations by calculating cycle times, material and subcontract costs, and tooling.
- Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and ensure their needs are met.
- Utilise the MRP Scheduling system to calculate lead times and identify areas of focus.
- Support in setting the annual sales plan in line with growth expectations.
- Provide weekly reports on sales activity and key performance indicators such as Order Intake, Quotation value, conversion rate, and on-time delivery of quotations.

As a Technical Estimator, you will bring a strong background in engineering and a keen eye for detail. Your ability to compile accurate quotations and liaise effectively with customers will be essential to your success. Other requirements include:
