Extension Recruitment has been exclusively retained to recruit a Financial Controller to be based at the head office within the North East of England.
Reporting to the board and managing a small finance team, key responsibilities will include:
- Day to day management of the finance team of 3
- Responsibility for all financial reporting including the production of monthly and annual management accounts with explanation, year‑end, and other statutory financial reporting
- Review current processes/systems and implement improvements to ensure more accurate and insightful financial information is available to senior management
- Regular communication and reporting to financial institutions, and other internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and drive implementation of a robust and sustainable accountancy system and processes
- Hands on input into the day to day operations of the business, adding value from a financial perspective
