Award winning company, fabulous open plan offices, on site gym, beer Fridays, parking, and many other good benefits for a Business Analyst to join the IT department of a hi-tech eCommerce distribution business.
You will be leading system requirements and testing for all the IT systems with responsibility for the testing of new and existing applications in line with agreed plans and strategies. This is a hybrid role where you will be owning the requirements gathering for new small projects as well as leading all testing activities across all projects.
You will work closely with the Business Analysis team to define test processes for a variety of projects as well as with the Development team to share feedback on the testing.
Job Duties:- Develop testing best practices across the IT team and ensure the processes are followed by the team.
- Own the testing of your own projects as well as testing on other projects being led by Business Analysts.
- Lead and own all test environments from a functional perspective, ensuring the applications are set up.
- Support with analysis of business or functional requirements to produce test estimates accurately.
- Prepare high level test plans which capture scope, testing approach, and timeframes.
- Develop test scenarios across projects that are currently in progress.
- Use an industry known tool, which integrates with Jira, to capture test cases and results, e.g., Test Rail.
- Execute test cases based on your test plans.
- Log test defects with the development team.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on the progress of the testing.
- Prepare high level plans to clearly show what items are in the test queue.
- Provide updates on the ‘test queue’ at a daily stand-up meeting.
- Prepare test data to support your own project testing as well as for other Business Analysts in the team.
- Support the business teams with User Acceptance Testing including data preparation and testing.
Degree Level, living local to Colnbrook. Experience of leading testing in an agile software development environment. Experience of leading testing across multiple projects. Experience of writing and executing test scripts. Evidence of influencing Managers, Business Analysts, Developers to drive improvements in quality.
