The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for liaising with surgeons and distributors involved in the sale and use of the ExoVasc Personalised External Aortic Root Support implant. The Sales and Marketing Manager is primarily based within the Tewkesbury office of Exstent Limited and reports to the Technical Director.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Is the primary liaison with surgeons performing PEARS surgery, monitoring arrangements for proctoring and dealing with questions from surgeons on the ExoVasc device and its use.
- Is the primary liaison with current and new distributors in establishing and supporting sales of ExoVasc.
- Maintains familiarity and contact with the surgical community worldwide to follow current trends in surgical approaches to the management of aortic dilatation and their relevance to the clinical application of the ExoVasc support.
- Is responsible for the production and distribution of marketing documents and media including the management of website and social media content.
- Assists the Technical Director in providing support and information to prospective patients, on the ExoVasc support and its use.
- To communicate market intelligence on customer needs and competitor activity.
- To pro-actively network with customers and prospective surgeons at specialist meetings, forums and presentations.
- To attend exhibitions and demonstrations as required.
- Establishing a marketing strategy for ExoVasc to maximise sales from existing customers and open up new markets.
- Attaining global annual sales to pre-defined sales targets by both growing the number of products sold to each customer and growing the number of customers.
Qualifications
- Ideally educated to degree level in a life science or STEM related field.
- At least five years' experience of working in surgical sales and marketing in the medical device industry.
- The ideal candidate will have an understanding of cardio-thoracic surgical procedures.
- Must have a valid (clean) UK driving licence.
- Willing to travel and/or stay overnight when required.
- Strong IT literacy skills (Microsoft applications).
- Excellent communication skills/interpersonal skills required (telephone, face-to-face etc) to liaise with surgeons, distributors and members of the in-house team.
- Enthusiasm to work in a small team and play a full part in the development of the company.
