Role Overview
As an EFL teacher, your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent English language instruction. With the support of the Director of Studies, you will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and participate in creating a secure and positive atmosphere that fosters learning and enjoyment.
Band 1 teachers teach on our English Foundation Pathway covering CEFR levels A1 – C1 and where all classes are based on a curriculum especially designed for our students.
Skills You'll Gain
In this role you'll teach in a vibrant multinational environment with students from over 80 nationalities, gaining extensive hands‑on experience with mixed groups across multiple CEFR levels in a short timeframe. You'll access a supportive workplace with experienced leadership focused on staff welfare and development, build effective team‑working skills in a collaborative culture, and pursue professional development opportunities. The role balances teaching with camp fun, offering the personal reward of boosting students' confidence and language abilities.
Main roles and accountability
You deliver a language programme that is meaningful, dynamic, interactive, and responsive to students' needs, ensuring lessons are engaging, relevant, and enjoyable. Your teaching covers levels A1 to C1 and includes skills development, functional language, collaborative projects, and an interactive Exsportise Language Cup for learning review. You teach up to 200 minutes daily or 16.7 hours weekly.
You take full responsibility for students’ safety, welfare, and behaviour during the EFL programme, ensuring students are never left unattended. Regular CPD sessions keep your teaching skills current, and you uphold Exsportise Teacher standards promoting quality and professional accountability. You maintain accurate lesson plans, class profiles, registers, and weekly work logs while liaising with fellow teachers and the Director of Studies on planning and feedback.
Clear learning objectives are communicated at each lesson's start and checked off upon achievement to demonstrate student progress. You keep student notebooks current with work, corrections, and self‑reviews, and create vibrant classroom displays showcasing weekly achievements. You enforce a no‑phone policy during the English programme (including break times), securely storing devices and encouraging genuine student interaction.
Additional Duties
You attend daily staff meetings, follow Staff Handbook and Centre Manager / Director of Studies guidelines, assist with camp set‑up and pack‑down, and carry out reasonable duties supporting smooth camp operations.
