Lead a successful coaching programme for students. In this role you'll make a direct impact on young athletes' holistic development across technical, tactical, physical, and psycho-social areas. You'll guide and motivate coaches and assistants to foster a strong coaching culture, strengthen leadership skills overseeing diverse groups, and achieve professional growth through collaboration with elite professionals like Ex-Olympians and brands such as Arsenal Football Development. The role builds transferable skills in teamwork, communication, safeguarding, problem-solving, and multicultural adaptability, offers valued residential experience for career advancement, and immerses you in a lively international community for rewarding work.
Main roles and accountability:
- Ensure all coaching, processes, and paperwork consistently meet company guidelines across offered programmes.
- Lead responsibilities in mornings and afternoons with accurate registers and full student attendance.
- Guide and support coaches and assistants, providing advice for high standards, appropriate pacing, and clear English delivery to support language learning.
- Develop detailed, progressive, student-focused session plans adaptable to staff experience for Centre Manager review.
- Continually review risk assessments for student/staff safety and well-being.
- Take responsibility for welfare and behaviour during activities.
- Liaise with Welfare Manager and House Parents for complete student understanding.
- Evaluate coaches with constructive feedback and assess skill levels for ability grouping.
- Complete end-of-stay progress reports, coordinate awards, and facilitate workshops on various topics.
- Manage staff/student/parent/agent queries efficiently and guarantee equipment maintenance, safe storage, and end-of-summer inventory.
Additional Duties:
- Attend Sunday Welcome Meetings for senior staff introductions and register verification.
- Participate in daily staff meetings contributing activity, welfare, and operational updates.
- Adhere to Staff Handbook guidelines and Centre Manager directives with professional conduct.
- Assist camp set-up/pack-down for smooth logistics.
- Undertake additional reasonable duties demonstrating flexibility.

Job Specific Personal Specification & Qualifications:
- Hold a valid coaching qualification which allows you to coach independently together with valid, current First Aid and Safeguarding Children certificates.
- Be highly organised and dependable with strong time management to prioritise and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Possess exceptional team leadership to guide, motivate, and develop coaches and assistants while setting clear standards.
- Perform effectively under pressure by remaining composed while multitasking in fast-paced environments.
- Maintain professional conduct and image as a positive role model.
- Commit to pastoral duties across camp life including mealtimes, free time, excursions, and welfare.
