Overall Purpose of the Job

Working within the Workshop environment, carrying out maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs to a range of equipment. Prepare equipment to company standards in a safe manner for use within an operational environment.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

  • Undertake preventative/predictive maintenance and diagnosis/repair of equipment according to work plans, meeting company quality and certification standards.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and prepare documentation to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring documentation is current.
  • Assist in maintenance and pressure testing of Well Testing Equipment to meet deadlines for equipment mobilization safely and efficiently.
  • Strip, inspect, rebuild, and recertify various valves including Gate/Safety (Anson, WOM, T3, Cameron), Ball, Check, and Non-Return Valves.
  • May be required to operate a forklift for equipment movement pre- and post-maintenance.
  • Update job packs, maintenance paperwork, and timesheets daily.
  • Participate in morning meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status, and operational updates.
  • Engage in toolbox talks and risk assessments as needed.
  • Promote safety standards within the workshop.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely task completion at high standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, providing solutions aligned with company standards.
  • Mentor less experienced personnel.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Technical qualification relevant to the role.
  • Extensive relevant work experience, preferably in the related product line.

Competencies

  • Experience working with API Valves (including Anson, WOM, T3, Cameron) – essential.
  • Experience with Fisher control valves, adjustable chokes, actuators, and pneumatic/hydraulic pumps – essential.
  • Experience in pressure testing high-pressure equipment – essential.
  • Proficient with torquing/tensioning units.
  • Skilled in thickness checks and thread inspection.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership skills, capable of leading a small team of technicians.
  • Commitment to high quality standards.
