Overall Purpose of the Job

Deliver global workshop‑based workplace training to support the Expro Competence Assurance Program (CAP), alongside technical guidance to regions and areas aligned with Coretrax Product Group and Expro standards, to achieve safe, efficient, and consistent delivery of Coretrax product line services.

This position enables:

  • Achieving and sustaining the Product Group Competence matrix compliance across regions in line with the Competence Assurance Program
  • Reducing workshop/servicing non‑conformances and competence related incidents
  • Improving time to competence and reducing cost for new technicians through standardised training, remote second sign‑off, and best practice deployment

Key Activities And Accountabilities

  • Deliver global workplace training and competence assessments for Coretrax Product Group products in line with the Competence matrix, ensuring consistent standards across regions and areas in line with the Competence Assurance Program.
  • Liaise with Group Competence Assurance in the development and delivery of technical presentations, demonstrations, and training delivery to internal and regional teams, sharing lessons learned and best practices.
  • Provide pre‑ and post‑workplace training technical support to regions and areas, including assistance with tool builds and remote second sign‑off/competence sign‑off where local support is unavailable.
  • Promote correct system usage, coach teams on workshop task processes and workflows, and troubleshoot workshop issues to support incident investigations related to workshop/servicing activities and competence.
  • Support the development of application documents, technical documentation, servicing standards, control documents, and FAQs.
  • Provide technical support to Coretrax Engineering, including participation in new technology deployments, site visits, and trials.
  • Work closely with the Coretrax Product Group and regions/areas to capture feedback and support product improvements.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to improve the Coretrax Product Group portfolio.
  • Lead and contribute to lessons learned/best practice reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to improve products and processes.
  • Define workshop requirements to support new base/location set‑ups and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Mentoring less experienced personnel.
  • Participate / lead in toolbox talks and risk assessment reviews.
  • Provide support as required, including surge capacity, mobilisation/readiness for new‑build activities, and OPEX identification with associated training.
  • Maintain accurate records (e.g., training delivery, competence status, and support activity) and complete all required documentation in line with Expro policies and procedures.
  • Promote and enforce QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) standards at all times.

Job Knowledge And Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working with downhole service equipment – essential
  • Previous experience of Pressure Testing equipment – essential
  • Experienced with using torquing/tensioning units – essential
  • High attention to detail
  • Work strictly to processes
  • Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational demands
  • Proficient in technical documentation and reporting

  • Extensive relevant work experience preferably in the related product line
  • May be required to drive a forklift to undertake the movement of equipment pre and post maintenance
