Are you a driven sales professional with a strong technical background and a passion for building lasting client relationships? We’re looking for a UK based Sales Manager with a strong client network to lead growth within a key regional area, driving revenue, shaping strategy, and strengthening our market position in the oilfield services sector. As Sales Manager, you will manage a series of key client accounts with the responsibility to maintain and provide account growth. You’ll analyse the market, develop a targeted sales strategy, and guide your team to deliver exceptional results. You’ll play a pivotal role in tender responses, client engagement, and pipeline development—ensuring we remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with industry advancements.
Key Activities And Accountabilities
- Develop and execute the regional sales strategy, including tactics, sales plans, targets, and profit objectives; all linked to key capture contracts & strategic opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and support the sales team to achieve individual and collective goals with a key focus on product line, technology growth & margin expansion.
- Build strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring regular engagement and identifying growth opportunities.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities to support long-term business expansion.
- Identify, plan & support partnerships with key contractors/sub-contractors supporting Expro strategic opportunities.
- Deliver or coordinate presentations, seminars, and technical sessions to enhance client understanding.
- Provide strategic input into tender submissions, pricing, and response planning.
- Stay informed on industry technologies and trends, sharing insights with clients and internal teams.
- Ensure accurate reporting, including market share data and Salesforce updates.
- Work autonomously to drive revenue while collaborating effectively with internal departments.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance, promoting a culture of integrity and transparency.
Job Knowledge And Qualifications
- Professional qualification, ideally in a technical discipline.
- Extensive experience in technical sales & business development or a related role within the oilfield or offshore sector, with a strong track record of securing new business.
- Proven record of account development for revenue and margin improvement growth.
- Strong understanding of oilfield equipment, tools, and operational processes.
- Commercial and financial awareness, particularly around tenders, quotations, and budgeting.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
- Proficiency in MS Word, databases, and PowerPoint; Salesforce experience is an advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen and a proactive, results‑driven mindset.
