Overall Purpose of the Job
Following the award of several exciting and innovative North Sea projects, we are seeking experienced Cased Hole Engineers to strengthen our Well Intervention team in Aberdeen & Great Yarmouth. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of wireline intervention and cased hole operations. Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders, they will ensure all operational activities are delivered to the highest technical, safety, and quality standard, supervise the team to complete the running of equipment on and offshore, and ensure successful safe operations in accordance with Company procedures, thereby ensuring a quality service to the client.
Key Activities And Accountabilities
- Safely execute wireline intervention and cased hole operations, ensuring technical integrity and minimising operational risk.
- Conduct detailed equipment checks to confirm compliance and technical suitability for each operation.
- Lead or actively participate in toolbox talks, pre‑job planning sessions, and operational briefings.
- Ensure wellsite support requirements are effectively planned and executed to enable continuous operations.
- Liaise with client representatives and participate in operational and planning meetings as required.
- Complete all operational, safety, and quality documentation in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
- Provide support at onshore bases when required, including equipment preparation, returns, and report compilation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to complete required competencies for current and future roles.
- Actively mentor and support junior team members, sharing technical knowledge to assist with competency development and progression.
- May be required to work at onshore bases in the preparation, return of equipment and report preparation.
- Be available for ad‑hoc work both onshore and offshore.
- Work in a multi‑skilled team to deliver a flawless service.
Job Knowledge And Qualifications
- Working knowledge/experience of industry Cased Hole technologies including software such as Sondex Warrior, Eline logging, memory logging/trigger, P&A, explosive safety & perforation, radiation safety & formation logging, experience with Fibre Optics.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge gained through successful completion of relevant role competencies.
- Formal technical qualification (preferred).
- Previous experience within wireline intervention and/or cased hole operations.
- Team leadership or supervisory experience (essential).
