Overall Purpose of the Job

Responsible for overseeing the movement of equipment and materials in or out of the yard/workshop area. Ensure that all activities within the yard area, such as lifting and movement of equipment, are carried out in accordance with company procedures. Ensure the safety of all personnel, including visitors, to the yard area.

Key Activities And Accountabilities

• Plan and organise the movement of equipment as directed by the Supervisor and in conjunction with the Operations department in a safe manner.
• Ensure that all recording of equipment movement and required documentation is actioned to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversee the layout of equipment within the area of responsibility to ensure the most efficient and correct storage methods are applied.
• Provide daily direction to personnel allocated to working within the yard area to ensure tasks are completed safely.
• Organise and oversee the movement of equipment by crane or forklift to ensure it is carried out in line with company procedures and in a safe manner.
• Actively participate in morning meetings to discuss safety, maintenance status/tasks, mobilisation/demobilisation updates, etc.
• Ensure that all incidents and non‑conformances are reported in line with the appropriate procedures and deadlines.
• Use Stop Work Authority and participate in the Positive Intervention Programme.
• Ensure the daily housekeeping of the work area is undertaken to maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Job Knowledge And Qualifications

• Extensive, demonstrable working experience in a stores/yard environment.
• Knowledge of SAP or a similar materials database.
• Hold appropriate certificates for the use and operation of lifting equipment – e.g., forklift licence.
• Experience in using equipment/inventory databases.
