Overall Purpose of the JobWe are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSEAdvisor to support the delivery of and Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) excellence across our operations. This is a key role responsible for promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting managers and employees in the effective implementation of QHSE systems and processes.
The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement, monitor performance, and provide expert guidance on all aspects of QHSE management.
Key Activities and AccountabilitiesAct as a focal point for QHSE matters within your area of responsibility, providing guidance on relevant legislation, regulations, and best practicesSupport compliance with company QHSE management systems, policies, standards, and proceduresAssist in developing and implementing local QHSE processes where requiredPartner with managers to achieve QHSE objectives and drive continuous improvement initiativesDeliver advice, coaching, and support to employees and management on QHSE mattersSupport the development, review, and maintenance of risk assessments and COSHH assessmentsAssist with emergency response planning, drills, and training activitiesEnsure accidents, incidents, and near misses are reported, investigated, and closed out with effective corrective actionsManage non-conformance reporting processes, ensuring investigations and corrective actions are completed promptlyMonitor QHSE performance metrics and reporting requirements, including KPIs, inspections, audits, and incident reporting systemsSupport the communication and promotion of QHSE information across the businessConduct or coordinate QHSE audits and workplace inspections to identify risks and improve complianceProvide QHSE input to customer bids and tender submissions when requiredDeliver QHSE training, including induction programmes for new employees and contractorsOrganise and contribute to monthly Engagement Sessions, toolbox talks, and quality-focused initiativesJob Knowledge and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience working within a Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) role.
Strong knowledge and understanding of QHSE management systems and associated processes.
Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. The ability to influence and support managers and employees at all levels of the organisation.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Essential: Demonstrable experience in an QHSE environment. Good working knowledge of QHSE management systems. NEBOSH qualificationIRCA 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.
Desirable:
Additional HSE qualifications (e.g. IOSH, ISO 45001/14001 Auditor certifications).Experience within an operational, engineering, manufacturing, or oil & gas environment.
