Overall Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a motivated Workshop Technician to join our Subsea product line team, supporting the maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of specialist equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a safety-focused environment where quality, teamwork, and operational excellence are key.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

  • Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in line with company procedures, quality standards, and certification requirements.
  • Assist with the rig-up, assembly, and rig-down of equipment as required.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and ensure all associated documentation is completed accurately and maintained at the correct revision level.
  • Complete and update job packs and return documentation to supervisors at the end of each work period.
  • Support the safe loading, unloading, and movement of equipment, including forklift operations where appropriately qualified.
  • Liaise with Logistics, Stores, and Operations teams to ensure materials, parts, and equipment are available to meet operational requirements.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and work planning sessions.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards, ensuring workshop areas and tools are clean, organised, and fit for purpose.
  • Report incidents, hazards, and non-conformances in accordance with company procedures.
  • Work closely with supervisors, technicians, and operational personnel to ensure safe and efficient completion of work activities.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a workshop, mechanical, manufacturing, or maintenance environment is desirable.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift certification would be advantageous.
  • Flexible, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
