Overall Purpose of the Job

The Senior Commercial Advisor plays a key role within Expro, supporting a multi-product line business operating across diverse geographies in Europe & Sub-Saharan Africa as well as global subsea commercial activities. The position is responsible for overseeing all commercial proposals issued to customers - ensuring pricing strategies, contract terms & commercial outputs align with business objectives to maximise profitability and enhance competitive advantage.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

  • Commercial & Pricing
    • Optimise profitability by securing competitive contract rates & favourable commercial terms with new & existing clients
    • Prepare Bid Evaluation Reports (BER's), including project P&L forecasts & pricing analysis to support strategic decision making
    • Support development of business cases to justify capital investment into various opportunities & contracts
    • Ensure timely and compliant submission of BER's in accordance with Delegation of Authority (DOA)
  • Contract Management
    • Provide contractual support in managing contractual obligations, key contractual terms, & associated risks across projects
    • Support contract review processes during tendering, procurement & project execution phases to ensure alignment with company policies & commercial objectives
    • Maintain contract records & support continuous improvement of contract management processes, controls and governance practices using Ironclad system
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Liaise with Sales & Client Account Managers to gather market pricing intelligence to support pricing decisions
    • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Legal, Supply Chain, Logistics & other internal departments
    • Coordinate timely contributions from all relevant stakeholders
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Produce monthly Business Development reports
    • Generate month-end Order Backlog (OBL) reporting & analysis
    • Present insights on quotations, including pricing uplift achieved through BER processes
    • Conduct revenue assurance activities and BER audits
  • Compliance & Governance
    • Conduct fiscal due diligence on new clients in conjunction with Treasury Compliance
    • Adhere to Expro Code of Conduct & Anti-Bribery policies
    • Promote ethical standards & support a culture of compliance across the team

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or professional qualification in Finance, Economics or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Proven experience in a commercial proposals role
  • Experience within the Oil & Gas or energy sector (desirable)
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts (advantageous)
  • Advanced MSOffice skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
