Overall Purpose of the Job
We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to support Well Construction/TRS operations in the North Sea. Working on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation, with the potential for additional ad hoc work, this role offers exposure to offshore and onshore operations while developing hands-on experience with a wide range of well construction handling equipment. Under the instruction and supervision of allocated Field Supervisors, you will assist with operations involving various tubular outer diameters (ODs) and Expro Well Construction equipment, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to operational standards.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Operate manual, diesel, hydraulic, and electrically powered casing and tubing handling equipment
- Assist with onshore and workshop operations based in Aberdeen
- Maintain awareness of and competency in new developments in Well Construction/TRS equipment and operational requirements
- Actively participate in learning and development programmes, including travel when required
- Complete all operational documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring it is submitted to the Operations Office
- Meet all operational schedules and deadlines, including: Pre- and post-job meetings, Safety meetings and toolbox talks, Travel, flights, and offshore check-ins, Shift configurations
- Take responsibility for personal health and safety, and for others who may be affected by your work, ensuring no task is undertaken without appropriate supervision
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- Previous Oil & Gas field experience or a Mechanical / Electrical background
- Strong commitment to safety, operational discipline, and teamwork
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to meet client and operational expectations
