One of our well established clients are looking for an Apprentice to train as a Project Engineer within their office. Training for either a BTEC HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering will be at London Southbank, Southwark Campus. The level can be discussed and is subject to your entry qualifications. Maths and Science are required for the courses. The course is part-time day release over 3 years commencing in September. The Modules cover a wide range of mechanical and electrical building services. Energy conservation and environmental impact is always at the forefront of their teaching. Expect to develop your management and communication skills, Maths and Science skills (applied to buildings), technical skills and team working.

Entry requirements are subject to which course is taken. This is an office based position in Westerham with studying to be undertaken at London South Bank University. The main works for the company is Air Conditioning, having ductwork, insulation and electrical services carried out by sub-contractors.

You will be taught the following:

  • Day to day running of Projects
  • Estimating Projects from drawings
  • Take off materials/plant and place orders
  • Attending site meetings and carry out site surveys
  • Coordination between other contractors
  • Cost variations
  • Produce final account
  • Compile Operating and Maintenance manual
  • Safety and Operating & Maintenance manual
  • Understand how air conditioning ventilation and heating systems work
  • Design, pipe sizing and duct sizing
  • AutoCAD

You will be expected to be able to use computer software Word, Excel and Outlook.
