Headquartered in Manchester, we support clients nationwide across employers' liability, serious injury, clinical negligence, occupiers' and public liability, road traffic accidents and industrial disease. \n We are ranked 60th in The Lawyer UK Top 200, out of more than 10,000 law firms nationwide. n About the Role: \n Express Solicitors is experiencing sustained growth, and our Clinical Negligence Department is expanding due to continued success and strong marketing performance. n This role offers genuine career progression for ambitious candidates committed to professional development, with aspirations of progressing to Associate level and potentially Partner. \However, we recognise the transferable skills of personal injury litigators, particularly those experienced in high-value and complex claims. \n We are looking for individuals passionate about excellent client outcomes, teamwork and professional development. \n \n Manage a varied clinical negligence caseload, including pre-issue and issued higher-value and complex claims against NHS Hospital Trusts and/or GPs. We do not handle dental cases. \n Handle catastrophic injury claims, including amputation, brain injury and birth injury cases. \n Develop specialist clinical negligence knowledge, building on existing litigation experience where transitioning from personal injury. \n Support seriously injured claimants and their families empathetically while managing complex legal issues and risk assessments. \n Conduct legal research and provide sound legal advice. \n Draft legal documents, including pleadings and witness statements. \n Keep up to date with relevant legal and regulatory changes. \n \n Experience of higher-value work or at least two years' personal injury litigation experience, ideally involving complex claims. \n A proven clinical negligence billing track record, including issued cases, or a strong personal injury litigation background with transferable skills. \n The ability to meet key performance indicators and targets. \n Tenacity, with strong CPR and litigation skills. \n \n \n Knowledge of the Proclaim case management system and Law Society or AVMA accreditation would be advantageous but are not essential.
