County Court Advocate
Responsibilities
- Undertake court hearings, including interlocutory applications, case management hearings and infant approval hearings.
- Draft advices, pleadings and skeleton arguments.
- Travel nationwide across England and Wales; overnight stays may be required.

Requirements
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Fast learner with a sound working knowledge of the CPR.
- Resilient and able to think and perform under pressure.
- Sound academics (minimum 2.1 at degree level and a Very Competent, or equivalent, for the bar training course).
- Salary & Working Hours
£28,500 per annum. Usual working hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Friday. Some travel/working outside these hours will be required.
Working Arrangement
Hybrid working: split between home working, court attendances and office days. 6 office days a month after probation.
Holiday Entitlement
23 days per year, rising to 26 days, plus bank/public holidays. Birthday holiday day after 2 years’ service.
