Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a reputable educational institution to recruit an experienced Director of Learning – English on a permanent basis, starting in September, working in a Secondary School based in Tonbridge, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director of Education to genuinely make a difference. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership experience and will play a vital part to enhance the school's English Division, driving standards, supporting staff development, and ensuring excellent outcomes for students.

Skills & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Proven UK experience teaching English
- Previous leadership experience, such as Director of Learning or Lead Practitioner roles
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to inspire and lead a team effectively
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the English department, driving high standards of teaching and learning
- Develop and implement curriculum plans in line with national standards
- Support and mentor teaching staff to enhance performance and development
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to improve attainment
- Work closely with senior leadership to support whole school objectives
- Ensure a positive and engaging learning environment for all students
Job Location: Kent, Tonbridge
Salary: c£50,000-£65,000 Per Annum D.O.E
Job Type and Hours: Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week
