Role & Responsibilities
- Provide professional HR advice, support and training across a broad range of HR matters
- Support managers and stakeholders at all levels and contribute to the development of positive employment
- Assist with recruitment, induction and onboarding processes
- Support managers with employee relations matters at all levels
- Promote a positive and customer-focused HR service
- Contribute to the development of HR strategy, policy and service improvement
- Support the development of a positive employment and performance management culture
- Deliver HR training and briefings where required
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders and customers
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience as a generalist operational HR Advisor
- Proven experience managing a wide range of employee relations issues
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority or wider public sector organisation
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and advise managers
- Customer-focused with a professional and pragmatic approach

Vacancy Summary
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm (Full and Part Time opportunities)
Salary: Up to c£22 per hour D.O.E
Job Type: Temporary for approx. 12 weeks with potential to extend
There are two opportunities available as temporary HR Advisors to support the HR service during a period of staff absence: 1 x Full-time post (37 hours per week) to cover ongoing long term sickness; 1 x Part-time post (0.5 FTE or 2.5 days per week) to support short term business needs. For the part-time role, hours are worked over 2.5 full days per week with flexibility around which days, but core business hours between 8:30am and 5:00pm must be met.
