Express Recruitment are excited to be working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business who produce world class engineering products on behalf of a large blue chip organisation. Due to increased production within their factory they are seeking the services of an Electrical Bias Maintenance Supervisor to join their talented team. This is a permanent full time position that consists of days working split across a 2 week rotating 4 day week. Our client pays by the hour where the successful candidate can expect to receive a basic rate of £22.33 per hour. In addition you will receive additional hourly Health & Safety and production bonuses taking the average total hourly rate to £24.03 per hour. There are also opportunities to work overtime during busy production periods. Please note there will be rare occasions where you will have to cover holidays for the Night Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineers throughout the year.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance activities including fault finding and repair works across a wide range of PPM systems
- Create and deploy PPM maintenance schedule rotas and ensure the wider maintenance team adhere to timely checks
- Assist the team in performing troubleshooting across PLC controlled machinery (mainly Beckhoff PLCs) and perform modifications to HMIs
- Ensure accurate and up to date maintenance reports are completed and documented correctly on the management system
- Manage on site contractors and ensure they hold the correct on-site permits
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in performing shopfloor risk assessments and inspections of PPMs
- Plan and oversee installations and commissioning of new electrical systems
- Conduct new employee inductions and assist the Maintenance Manager in interviewing Maintenance Engineers
- Liaise with the Engineering Stores department to ensure stock levels for critical parts and spares are maintained at all times
Qualifications & Experience
- Electrical based apprenticeship, HND or HNC preferred
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering field
- Demonstrable experience in fault finding and diagnostics on PLCs (Beckhoff preferred but Allen Bradley and Siemens S7 transferable)
- Proven experience in team leadership and management is essential
- Holder of 18th Edition qualification
- Proven capability working with SCADA and HMI systems
- Proven experience in maintaining, repairing and installing hydraulic, pneumatic and three phase electrical systems
- Experience in the commissioning of automation systems is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently from schematic diagrams
- Competent working with CAFM systems
