Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic salesperson to head up the business development of this ambitious family‑run company. They’re offering a fantastic basic salary of up to ~£40,000 per annum, alongside a generous uncapped commission scheme, family feel, local travel and the chance to make a real difference at an expanding company with ambitious plans for growth across the East Midlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform proactive cold calling to generate new business opportunities
- Visit local businesses (scheduled and unscheduled where possible) in‑person to introduce services and identify potential needs
- Identify and pursue upselling and cross‑selling opportunities
- Maximise revenue from existing accounts through effective account management
- Travel to client sites to carry out assessments and build customer rapport
- Price up jobs on‑site, providing accurate and timely quotations
- Push more dormant sectors of the business
- Help strengthen brand awareness and promote brand name within the market
- Explore and develop new territories to support business expansion
Skills & Experience
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Mid‑level sales professional with strong experience in a similar role
- Fire and security industry experience is highly desirable
- Previous involvement in tenders is an advantage but not essential
- Confident communicator with a proactive, self‑driven approach
- Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
