Base pay range
Express Recruitment is supporting a long-established software company in Nottingham, specializing in innovative solutions for global manufacturers. Due to a recent merger and increased R&D investment, they seek a Senior C Developer to lead development projects.
Please note, the role requires full-time presence at the Nottingham office initially for product training and team collaboration. Afterward, hybrid working may be available.
In return, the salary can be up to Ā£70,000, plus an annual bonus, private healthcare, flexible working, paid overtime, and progression opportunities.
- Manage all phases of the software lifecycle: design, coding, configuration, and deployment
- Conduct code reviews with internal and external developers
- Develop automation systems using MS Visual Studio, C, C++, SQL, and VB.NET
- Maintain bespoke control systems and databases, including dashboards and analytics reports
- Use SQL Server daily for dashboard reviews and report generation
- Contribute to internal development projects under the guidance of the Development Manager
- Collaborate with management, stakeholders, and on-site clients
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in low-level C programming
- Experience with VB.NET/.NET & C# web development is highly desirable
- Experience in conducting C code reviews
- Proficient in SQL, report creation, and dashboard maintenance
- Experience in factory process control or industrial automation is preferred
- Knowledge of configuring and implementing control systems is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment
