At Express Recruitment we are delighted to be working with a respected pensions business based in the heart of Nottingham City Centre, who are looking for a talented and motivated Pensions Manager to join their team

We’re after someone with strong industry knowledge, excellent organisational skills and the confidence to lead and inspire a busy team. In this role, you’ll oversee the running of the office, help colleagues deliver an exceptional service and foster a positive, supportive working environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage two administration teams and two analysts responsible for executing customer and financial adviser (IFA) instructions related to pensions and investments
  • Oversee operational reporting to regulatory bodies such as The Pensions Regulator and HMRC, as well as to clients and IFAs
  • Ensure all team workloads are completed accurately, within established deadlines, and in alignment with service level agreements
  • Leverage data to generate insightful management information (MI) and performance statistics for senior leadership, while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Foster talent development through coaching, clear objective setting and performance evaluations, while promoting ongoing learning and professional growth
  • Champion a high performance culture focused on achieving optimal outcomes
  • Conduct regular process reviews to identify efficiency gains and enhance resource utilisation
  • Ensure implementation of new policies and updates to existing procedures, maintaining compliance with industry regulations
  • Serve as a key escalation point for internal and external stakeholders, providing resolution and support as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • A background in pension administration management is essential for this role coupled with experience of dealing with external clients and working to SLAs
  • Strong people management experience is essential and exposure to managing multiple teams/business areas is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentational) across all business levels and with external client
  • Agile & dynamic with a positive attitude that filters down into the teams
