Express Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading Nottingham-based company to recruit a Part-Time Finance Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a well-established business with day-to-day finance operations, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and payment preparation.

Working two days per week, ideally a Monday and Friday, this position is ideal for candidates seeking to contribute their finance expertise on a part-time basis.

  • Process and record incoming financial documents, including invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor and manage outstanding balances, following up on overdue payments when necessary
  • Handle day-to-day cash and company card transactions, including allocation and reconciliation
  • Prepare, review, and submit payment runs in line with agreed terms, including setting up payments through online banking
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to resolve financial queries and reconcile account discrepancies

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in finance operations such as payables, receivables, or similar functions
  • Experience using Sage highly advantageous
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver effective support and service in a busy environment
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaborating within a team
