Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a successful and growing global engineering and manufacturing business as they look to recruit an Office Administrator to join their established commercial team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales function, acting as the facilitator to progress sales enquiries from initial receipt through to order fulfilment and aftersales support. This role is heavily email-focused, supporting UK and international customers across multiple time zones. You will be managing sales values ranging from thousands to several million pounds with sales cycles that can extend over a significant period of time.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and forward thinking employer. In return for your commitment, they are offering a competitive salary of up to c£30k alongside 26 days holiday (rising with service), a generous pension scheme (6.51%), company bonus and the opportunity to benefit from an employee-owned trust bonus scheme where qualifying payments are tax free up to £3,000.

  • Log and manage incoming sales enquiries, progressing them through internal systems from quotation to order fulfilment.
  • Prepare and issue accurate quotations and sales documentation for UK and international customers.
  • Process sales orders and monitor progress, proactively communicating updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM and ERP systems to support forecasting and pipeline reporting.
  • Liaise with production, logistics, finance and engineering teams to ensure orders are delivered correctly and on schedule.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a sales support, customer service or administrative role.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Confident written communicator with a professional email-focused approach.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP Business One is desirable.
