Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with an established and growing legal practice as they look to recruit a General Litigation Solicitor to join their busy and supportive team. You will be an integral part of the business managing a varied general litigation caseload and providing pragmatic and commercial advice to a diverse client base while contributing to the continued growth of the department.

This role can be based from a number of locations across Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire.
- Manage a varied general litigation caseload from instruction through to conclusion
- Advise clients on a range of civil litigation matters providing practical and commercial legal advice
- Handle matters including contract and commercial disputes, property and landlord & tenant issues, debt recovery and enforcement
- Manage employment-related disputes, professional negligence claims and contentious probate matters
- Draft pleadings, witness statements and legal correspondence
- Represent clients in negotiations and at hearings where required
- Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor with post-qualification experience in general litigation
- Strong technical ability with good working knowledge of civil procedure
- Excellent communication, drafting and client care skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload efficiently and independently
- Proactive, organised and enthusiastic about teamwork and business development
