Express Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established organisation within the utilities and infrastructure sector who are looking to recruit an experienced High Voltage Electrician to join their growing Midlands-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified electrician with High Voltage Authorised Person status to join a company offering long-term stability, excellent overtime opportunities, and a company van.
The role will involve working across a variety of industrial and infrastructure sites, carrying out HV electrical works, maintenance, and fault finding within a fast-paced operational environment. In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of £25 per hour, enhanced overtime rates, a company van, and the opportunity to work with a respected and growing business. The working hours are Monday to Friday 7am-3pm.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working as a High Voltage Electrician
- Must hold High Voltage Authorised Person certification/experience
- City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent electrical qualifications preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and industry regulations
- Experience working within industrial, utilities, infrastructure, or similar environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out High Voltage electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works across various sites
- Operate as a High Voltage Authorised Person in line with safety regulations and company procedures
- Perform fault finding, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards
- Complete relevant documentation and compliance records accurately
- Work collaboratively with site teams and management to ensure projects are delivered successfully
- Participate in planned overtime and occasional additional site hours where required
Job Location: Midlands
Salary: £25 per hour + Company Van + Overtime, Overtime: Time and a half until Saturday lunchtime, double time thereafter for onsite hours worked
Job Type and Hours: Permanent, Full Time, Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
