Skills & Experience- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential
- Studying towards, or keen to begin, ACA, ACCA or AAT qualifications
- Good working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounts preparation
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, TaxCalc or Sage would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Preparing accounts for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Assisting with corporation tax, VAT returns and personal tax compliance work
- Supporting senior accountants with year-end accounts and client advisory work
- Liaising with clients to obtain financial information and respond to day-to-day queries
- Working with cloud-based accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, TaxCalc and Sage whilst maintaining accurate working papers
