Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading digital organisation on a high-profile initiative focused on the future of their subscription experience. They are seeking an experienced UX Product Designer to join their internal Subscription Flexibility & Product Movement team on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. This is a hands-on, end-to-end design role where you will shape commercially impactful, user-centred experiences across subscription journeys. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Research, E-commerce, and Legal teams to deliver both tactical improvements and longer-term strategic redesigns.
The role is paying up to £500 per day, inside IR35, and is hybrid based from the central London office a minimum of one day per week, with occasional travel to Nottingham.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead discovery and user research to validate freemium models, pricing strategies, and monetisation opportunities using a human-centred approach.
- Design end-to-end user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes that articulate the value of premium experiences and subscription options.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and business stakeholders to align design solutions with commercial goals.
- Facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions to explore experience improvements and future flexibility.
- Deliver high-quality UI in Figma, from early concepts through to polished, high-fidelity designs.
- Champion accessibility, usability, and design best practice across all outputs.
- Support seamless subscription management journeys, including cross-sell, upsell, and cancellation flows.
- Proven experience designing digital products, ideally within subscription-based SaaS or e-commerce environments.
- Strong UX and UI design skills, with the ability to take concepts from discovery to delivery.
- Experience designing feature gating and subscription-driven experiences (case studies preferred).
- Ability to frame ambiguous problems, define opportunities, and explore multiple solutions.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
