Express Recruitment are delighted to be representing an award-winning, family-run manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Steel Estimator with considerable estimating experience within a manufacturing setting. The successful candidate will understand structural steelwork and have produced bids and tenders. Please note that, to be considered for this role, you must have a full, clean UK Driving Licence.
There is a competitive salary of up to c£55,000 per annum D.O.E. on offer alongside a generous benefits package including 25 days holiday + stats, free onsite parking, and comprehensive training.
Roles and Responsibilities- Read and interpret technical tender drawings
- Price materials from drawings
- Liaise with members of teams across the company to produce competitive bids
- Complete comprehensive take-off and tender submissions in line with SLAs
- Identify and secure business from existing and new clients
- Create and send off quotation documents to clients
- Exercise knowledge of industry to build system of market pricing
- Follow up on submissions and client feedback
- Present handovers to contracts team
- Considerable experience working as an Estimator in a manufacturing setting
- Able to read technical drawings and schematics
- Understanding of structural steelwork
- Financially and numerically adept whilst taking commercial factors into consideration
- Solid communication skills both verbally and written
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and contractors
- Full UK Driving Licence
