Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a fantastic, financially secure, and rapidly growing firm in the property sector based in the heart of Leicester. Our client is on the hunt for a Property Maintenance Technician to ensure the upkeep of two large residential apartment properties. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual seeking local, stable work with a reputable employer. Both property estates are based within walking distance of each other so very minimal travel required. In return, you will receive a starting salary of up to £30,000. Time in lieu is on offer for any additional overtime worked. Very rare call outs. Full uniform, PPE and tools provided. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Skills & Experience

  • Full UK driving license and own transport preferred
  • Previous experience in general building maintenance and groundskeeping
  • Confident user of a range of hand and power tools
  • Happy with manual labour and heavy lifting duties when required
  • Hold an avid interest in property development/maintenance
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbally

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the grounds are kept to a clean presentable standard
  • Carry out minor trade related repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, joinery, tiling, painting and basic electrics
  • Performing building system health checks, including fire alarms, access control, CCTV, water meters, gas meters and lighting systems
  • Ensure that all PPM & reactive maintenance is dealt with in a timely manner
  • Report and log all breaks, near misses, health, and safety issues to Property Service Manager
  • Set up rooms for commercial/professional events
  • Report technical issues with tools and machinery to Service Manager
  • Respond to very rare emergency call outs

Job Location: Leicester, Leicestershire

Salary: £30,000 Per Annum D.O.E

Job Type and Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm
