Express Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an established specialist contractor with the recruitment of an Electrical Estimator on a full-time, permanent basis. Our client works across a variety of industrial and commercial projects, delivering installation, upgrade, and maintenance solutions for customers throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced estimator to support tendering and pre-construction activities within their electrical projects team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to join a growing business offering long-term stability, varied project exposure, and career progression. There is a salary on offer of up to £55,000, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quotations and cost estimates for electrical installation works
- Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Produce material take-offs, labour estimates, and pricing breakdowns
- Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Prepare and submit tender returns within required deadlines
- Identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
- Attend occasional site visits and project surveys
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience working within an Electrical Estimator position
- Strong understanding of electrical installation projects
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Commercial awareness and strong organisational skills
