This role sits within a hands-on technical environment for someone who enjoys solving complex electronic problems and working closely with advanced systems. It would suit an individual who is naturally curious, technically minded and motivated by understanding how things work at a detailed level, particularly within embedded and control-based technologies.
Responsibilities
- Interpreting technical schematics and data sets to set up, power and evaluate electronic modules in a controlled test environment including PCB boards.
- Investigating electronic assemblies to identify underlying faults and determine practical repair or recovery solutions.
- Producing clear technical records to capture findings, methods and outcomes.
- Feeding learning back into documented processes and supporting knowledge transfer across the wider technical team.
- Contributing to ongoing analysis of recurring issues within established product ranges to improve long term reliability.
Qualifications & Skills
- Practical experience diagnosing electronic faults down to individual components including board-level repair techniques.
- Ideally possess experience within an automotive environment.
- Ability to read, understand and work from electronic schematics or wiring information.
- Experience carrying out structured fault analysis to identify root causes within electronic assemblies.
- A disciplined and organised approach to troubleshooting with strong attention to detail.
- Exposure to complex electronic systems and communication methods within a technical or engineering-led environment.
