Express Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a well-established Education Provider who deliver services to students across the East Midlands. Due to continued success, our client is seeking an experienced Functional Skills Tutor to deliver English and Maths Apprenticeships and other associated programmes to a range of students.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of delivering English and Maths lessons and will be able to demonstrate that they have efficiently managed assessments. You will be qualified with a relevant degree alongside teaching experience within a relevant vocation.

Responsibilities include:
- Deliver apprenticeship courses to students for Functional Skills Maths and English
- Manage the process for assessments, contacting the relevant awarding bodies when required
- Update training material for students, ensuring varied learning styles are considered
- Plan learning activities and update confidential records
- Set up classroom tasks prior to delivering lessons
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable ability of previously working in a similar environment
- Previous experience teaching Maths and English at Functional Skills or GCSE level
- Must hold a relevant Teaching qualification
- Enhanced DBS Check essential or willingness to process prior to interview
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and data protection
Vacancy Summary:
- Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:45am to 3:30pm (35 hours per week)
- Salary: Up to c£33,000 Per Annum D.O.E
- Location: East Midlands (Hybrid Working)
