Express Recruiting are representing a well-established and leading innovator in the water recycling industry who are looking to add an Electrical Bias Field Service Maintenance Technician to their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers varied and hands-on work across the UK, with full training provided and long-term progression available. With a reputation for quality and innovation, this company plays a leading role in delivering water recycling solutions across commercial and public sector projects.
Their ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Electrical Qualification and have a strong understanding of fault finding or installations. They should be confident with basic mechanical tasks, enthusiastic about learning, and happy to travel across the UK with regular overnight stays.
The role offers hourly pay up to c£16.22 depending on experience, with overtime at 1.5x and weekends at 2x. You’ll typically be required to work away a few days per week, with expenses covered, including travel, food allowance and accommodation. A company van, fuel card and Premier Inn card are also provided. The package includes funded qualifications (CSCS, IPAF, Confined Spaces and Legionella Safety), bonus scheme, pension, twenty days holiday plus bank holidays, and future progression opportunities into a Senior Commissioning and Installation Engineer.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on water recycling systems including pumps, filters and control panels
- Identify and resolve water quality issues, perform remedial works and replace components as required
- Follow O&M manuals and site-specific RAMS to ensure safe and accurate work
- Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems using a range of testing methods
- Conduct system assessments and report findings to the wider team for client quotations
- Provide occasional training support to new engineers in the field
- Complete accurate job reports and safety documentation using the company’s mobile app
- Assist with stock management, vehicle checks and workshop duties when required
Skills and Experience
- A Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation, Fault Finding or equivalent
- Strong practical understanding of electrical systems with basic mechanical and plumbing skills (MEP)
- Confident using standard Microsoft packages and mobile reporting systems
- Enthusiastic, reliable and comfortable working in confined spaces and physically demanding environments
- Willingness to stay away from home up to three nights a week with all travel and accommodation covered
- Confident working from heights
- Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
