Express Recruitment are continuing to supply one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers within the Construction and Civil Engineering industries. Due to a healthy project pipeline and company growth, our client is seeking a highly attentive and methodical thinking Design Coordinator to join their talented team. The successful candidate will have multiple responsibilities including:
- Reviewing pre-tender project details
- Advising Estimators on project requirements
- Managing designs for high-budget projects
- Preparing and controlling design programs
- Checking external designers’ drawings
In return, you can expect to receive a competitive starting salary of up to c£38,000, including pension, enhanced company sick pay, free site parking, sponsored training, and the opportunity to earn a quarterly performance related bonus.

- Review pre-tender project details
- Assess internal and external design resource requirements
- Attend meetings throughout project lifecycle
- Manage the design for multiple high-budget projects
- Ensure records are stored correctly
- Upload drawing information to client portals
- Prepare, monitor, and control design programs
- Check external designers’ drawings
- Ensure compliance with company’s policies
Skills & Experience
- Pre-cast concrete design experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar subject
- Able to confidently work on own initiative and within a team
- Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, and MS Project are highly desirable
- Confident liaising with stakeholders at multiple levels
- Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
