This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a work life balance within a friendly, family owned Accountancy Practice, offering hybrid flexible working from their offices based in Nottingham.
- Maintaining and updating comprehensive financial records, including the accurate tracking of invoices, receipts, payments, and other transactions to ensure all accounts are up to date and compliant
- Assisting with payroll processing and account reconciliation, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, tax deductions, and benefits, while reconciling discrepancies across multiple financial systems
- Handling tax filings and managing regulatory compliance, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory obligations, ensuring all submissions are accurate and filed within the required deadlines
- Supporting monthly and annual financial reporting, providing detailed analysis of cash flow, financial trends, and budget performance to assist in strategic decision-making
- Collaborating closely with both internal teams and external clients, efficiently addressing financial queries, resolving discrepancies, and providing timely solutions to maintain smooth financial operations
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, ideally within an accountancy practice
- Proficient in Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
- Qualifications of AAT Level 3 or equivalent preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team, thriving in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues
