IT Field Support Engineer
Express Recruitment is delighted to work with a well-established Business Service Provider looking for an IT Field Support Engineer to cover the West Country/Southwest region of clients.
The successful candidate will manage clients day-to-day, visit clients on site to deliver exceptional IT support, and ensure all clients are up to date with their current IT licences.
The role requires travel across Birmingham, Bristol and Southwest areas; a valid UK driving licence is essential.
The position allows some flexibility for remote working when not visiting clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day interactions with clients, providing updates and support.
- Visit and support customers across Birmingham and southwest areas.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer escalations and address complex issues in line with contractual requirements.
- Ensure customers are up-to-date with relevant licences and assets.
- Travel to various customers across the region and work with the IT Sales Manager to provide customers with supportable products.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong 1st & 2nd line IT support experience.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Windows servers (Server 2008/2012/2016/2019/2022), Desktop platforms (Windows 10/11) and Office 2016/2019/365.
- Experience using Microsoft Active Directory, including 365 directory sync.
- Office 365 administration and implementation experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of Vo IP Telephony, RMM systems, and automated ticketing systems is desirable.
- Experience connecting and configuring routers, firewalls, switches.
- Polite, analytical, customer-centred approach.
- Ability to solve issues from diagnosis to completion.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
