Express Recruitment are proud to be representing a rapidly growing Engineering Systems Specialist based in Nottinghamshire who are looking to hire an Automation & Control Systems Project Manager on a full time, permanent basis. Their successful candidate will lead multiple Engineering projects, develop sign off agreements, ensure materials are within budget and available in line project schedules, and provide project updates to Management. They will also have to travel to customer sites to ensure projects are being carried out according to specifications. Their ideal candidate will have experience leading projects within an Engineering environment. They are looking for a candidate who is either a proven Project Manager within the Automation or Controls sector, or an experienced Control Systems Engineer looking to take their first step into management. Due to the nature of the role, a full clean UK driving licence will be required to apply. They are offering a competitive salary of up to c£60,000 per annum D.O.E alongside a generous benefits package including a car allowance, overtime bonuses, and more! Roles and Responsibilities
- Work across multiple Engineering projects in line with lead times and standards defined by clients and the company
- Develop sign off agreements for Function Design specifications
- Manage resources for all assigned projects
- Ensure projects materials are within budget, ordered, and delivered onsite in line with defined project schedule
- Lead teams on projects and ensure all tasks are carried out by the team as required
- Provide high-quality weekly project updates to Management
- Develop controls layouts and technical documents in line with client requirements
Skills and Experience
- Experience leading projects within an Engineering environment
- Proven experience working as a Control Systems Engineer
- Experienced in PLC programming and SCADA implementation desirable
- Experience with conveyors, automation and/or robotics is highly desirable
- Prince2 Foundation/Practitioner certification preferred but not essential
- Experience with budget management, developing agreements, and managing contracts
- Full clean UK driving licence
