Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established specialist engineering business who are looking to recruit an experienced Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Service Engineer to join their growing field-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems for customers across a wide geographical area, with work ranging from planned maintenance through to reactive call-outs and fault finding.
There is a basic salary on offer up to £35k plus a monthly performance bonus, offering the potential to earn an additional c£600 per month, company vehicle and fuel card, mobile phone and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays. There is also overtime on offer.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience servicing and repairing air conditioning systems
- F-Gas Category 1 certification
- Experience with Splits, Multi-splits, VRF/VRV, and AHUs
- Experience with systems from manufacturers such as Mitsubishi, Daikin or Midea
- Refrigeration experience highly advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
Roles & Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs on air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigerant-related faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment
- Complete deep cleans and other preventative maintenance activities to maintain system efficiency
- Identify and rectify issues with compressors, PCBs, fans, pumps, controls and other system components
- Work safely with refrigerants and carry out refrigerant recovery and associated works in accordance with relevant regulations
