Express Recruitment are proud to be supporting a successful and fast-growing property management company based in Nottingham, who are looking to expand their year-end finance function.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and professional team on a 6-month full-time temporary contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a business that delivers exceptional service and values long-term client relationships. You’ll play a vital role in preparing year-end financial accounts for residential developments and supporting internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and finalising year-end accounts, including balance sheets and income & expenditure reports
- Ensuring year-end accounts are completed accurately and within a six-month post-year-end deadline
- Logging time spent on each set of accounts and additional finance-related tasks
- Liaising with Area Managers, internal departments, and external accountants to resolve account queries
- Responding to correspondence from HMRC and filing statutory accounts with Companies House
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience preparing year-end accounts, ideally within property or service-based sectors
- Experience liaising with HMRC and Companies House
- Familiarity working within fast-paced or deadline-driven environments
- Experience using accounting software and time-logging tools
- A background in collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g. area managers, finance, external accountants)
