Due to continued growth, our client is seeking the addition of a highly experienced Mechanical Fitter, capable of assembling and building bespoke machinery and working independently from build sheets and technical assembly drawings.
In return, the successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary of up to £42,000. Other great benefits on offer include:

Skills & Experience
- HNC/NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Proven experience in the build and assembly of bespoke, special purpose machinery
- Capable of working independently from build sheets and technical assembly diagrams
- Solid working knowledge of welding, fabrication and machining principles
- Experience working with a wide range of components, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, bearings, gearboxes, chains, pulleys, conveyor belts, motors etc.
- Excellent attention to detail
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical products and components in accordance with drawings, specifications and build procedures
- Use build sheets to ensure times and processes of build are adhered to making notes as required
- Raise Engineering Change Reports (ECRs) to refine and help improve product and streamline processes
- Perform modifications in conjunction with the mechanical design team, during build to facilitate the customers' requirements
- Ensure complete machine builds are delivered within the project deadlines
- Adhere to strict Health & Safety standards and company work policies at all times
- Liaise with the machining team to request modification of precision machine components
