Express Recruitment is delighted to be working alongside one of the UKs leading manufacturers, specialising in bespoke manufacturing solutions for global utilities providers. As a result of a growing project pipeline, our client is seeking the addition of a Pipe System Installation Engineer to support all major installation of gas and water systems throughout the UK.
The successful candidate must hold a Level 2 Diploma (NC02) in Network Construction Operations, Water Main Layering. The contracted hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. There will be some need for out of hours work and occasional overnight stays, which will be paid as overtime. In return, you will receive a competitive starting salary of up to c£40,000 plus opportunities for overtime which is paid at an enhanced rate. You will also receive a company van for work use, tools, PPE, phone, fuel card, pension, sick pay and 25 days holiday plus statutory days.
Skills & Experience
- Holder of Level 2 Diploma Networks Construction Operations (NCO2) essential
- Holder of a NRSWA qualification
- Holder of SHEA Gas & Water and EUSR Water Hygiene card
- Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of water and/or gas systems within the Utilities sector
- Proven site experience including public highways, power plants, telecommunication sites etc.
- Slinger, Signaller and Banksman qualifications desirable
- Experience in operating a 360-degree Excavator would be useful
- Understanding of polyethylene and metallic gas and water systems
- Full Clean Drivers License essential
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of one-off site installations for gas and water pipe systems across a range of UK utility, industrial and sensitive sites
- Assist with the testing and commissioning of new constructions onto live pipelines
- Install metallic water and gas line pipe systems
- Work with a range of irrigation pipe systems
- Write and review RAMs
- Assist in the planning and execution of installation and commissioning projects on behalf of customers, ensuring consistent commitment throughout
- Resolving on-site technical issues promptly and safely
- Adhere to strict Health, Safety, Environmental and Water Hygiene standards
- Work extensively with a range of specialist tools and equipment
- Work independently from technical assembly and installation diagrams
