Key responsibilities
- You will be responsible for completing daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use.
- Ensure goods are secured before transit.
- Ensure you arrive at your job on time and inform the traffic office of any issues.
- The role includes delivery of goods to various customers across the northwest and also nationwide.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, colleagues and management.
- Maintain all health and safety standards.
- Will involve loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Complete all PODs correctly and return to the office.
- Comply with all EU tachograph regulations.
Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years HGV Class 2 driving experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to follow navigation systems effectively.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- Flexible, including the availability to work early mornings, evenings.
- Good knowledge of WTD regulations
Qualifications Required
- Must have a current Class 2 Licence.
- ADR licence (Transportation of hazardous goods) preferable but not essential as training will be provided.
- Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
Company overview
An opportunity has arisen to join an established transport company who are expanding and looking for experienced HGV drivers. Located in St Helens with contracts across the Northwest and Nationwide. Must have Class 2 licence with no more than 6 points.
Benefits

- Overtime available and paid at a rate of pay: £17.87 per hour.
