We are seeking an Experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our partnered client's team in Medway, MA.
Pay Rate: $20 - $25/hr (willing to pay up to $28/hr for qualified experience)
Schedule: M-F (8am - 4:30pm)
Responsibilities:
- Use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc.
- Conduct first piece, in-process, and final inspections and testing on various parts to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Perform inspections and testing in accordance with quality policies, procedures, and standards.
- Use surface plate and coordinate measuring machine for inspections.
- Create and maintain inspection plans.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and assist in setting up inspections.
- Conduct random audits during operations to verify compliance with specifications.
- Train new employees on equipment use and inspection procedures.
- Perform receiving inspections of vendor parts, services, and materials as needed.
- Review calibration status of inspection equipment and report issues.
- Evaluate inspection methods used by manufacturing personnel and offer recommendations.
- Maintain inspection logs and keep the work area organized.
- Adhere to safety rules and work policies.
- Communicate work-related issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote teamwork.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least 1 year of technical training including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in first-piece and in-process mechanical inspection, preferably in a close-tolerance machine shop environment.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to operate manufacturing software and have computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of surface plate inspection, small tool measurements, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, inspection specifications, and instructions.
